Alicia from Hoboken Townery brings you this weekend’s events:

1. The cover band Someone Say Something plays at Willie McBrides Friday night. Just FYI Willie’s has a FREE limo that picks you up anywhere in Hoboken to bring you to the bar. How’s that for customer service? http://www.townery.com/events/1047796083

2. Among the most puzzling buildings on the New York and Jersey City waterfronts are the pair of towers at either end of the Holland Tunnel. It’s clear they’re not residential or office space, but who would guess they house an innovative system of fans built between 1921 and 1927? These fans pump fresh air in and pull car exhaust out of the tunnel. Crazzzyy! Architectural historian John Gomez visits the Museum on Sunday, Apr. 29, at 4 p.m. to give a talk titled, “Mechanical Moderne: Architectural Innovation and Influence in the Holland Tunnel Ventilation Towers,” about how the towers were designed. If you are anything like Ted Mosby, you’ll be there. http://www.townery.com/events/1047796083

3. The play The Pavilion at the Mile Square Theater is playing for its last weekend this weekend (you might have seen the ads in the Path station) – 20 years have passed since Peter left Kari when they were seniors in high school and they now face each other at their 20th high school reunion, where Peter desperately wants a second chance. Craig Wright’s funny, moving and thoughtful play The Pavilion, was hailed by critics as “…an Our Town for our time” – http://www.townery.com/events/1047795849

4. This is a bit early, but what the heck! It’s for a good cause, and I love that. Next Thursday 5/3 is Happy Hour Fundraiser to support Team in Training and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at Wicked Wolf from 5pm – 10pm. Be there. http://www.townery.com/events/1047796039
