1. This Thursday night at 7:30pm at Willie McBrides join the Hoboken Social Sandbox and Soul Joel Productions for Comedy Night to benefit the Hoboken Cove Boathouse! (They are the ones that conduct all the free kayaking events on the Hudson from Hoboken)!  On tap will be comedians from Comedy Central, HBO, Last Comic Standing, and XM/Sirius Radio. The cost is $25 which includes cover charge and 2 drinks…plus you get to stay after the show for the band for free. Awesome if you ask me.

3. Roky Erickson is playing at Maxwell’s Friday night at 9pm. He’s an American singer, songwriter, harmonica player and guitarist from Texas. He was a founding member of the 13th Floor Elevators and a pioneer of the psychedelic rock genre. Interessante – if you’re into live music, check it out!

6. I just had to share this — next week, on Tuesday, June 26th, join Paul Vincent Studios for live figure drawing. Says the studio, “We offer a chill atomosphere, great music & fabulous models. Whether you’re a grizzled creative soul, or a conoisseur of stick figures. All skills and medium are welcome.” It’s $10, BYOB and your own art materials. Interesting! Kind of piquing my curiosity….how about you?
